We celebrate our last week of South American music by heading to the west coast of Peru. The most common hand drum in Peru is the cajón, which is a box drum that the drummer sits on to play. Our new Peruvian rhythm sounds great on our djembe drums. Get those speedy hands ready! Not only will we learn a rhythm based on our clave rhythm (from our class two weeks ago, but you may also spot a fun technique at the beginning of our song -- a drum roll!
