Anathema Benediction The Balance of Light and Shadow Turtle 🐢 WoW

The first step in your quest to claim Benediction requires you to loot an epic trinket called The Eye of Divinity from Majordomo Executus in Molten Core. He only drops one of these per kill, meaning only one priest in your 40 man raid group can loot it each week.

Once you’ve received The Eye of Divinity, you’ll become eligible to speak with Eris Havenfire in the Eastern Plaguelands.

Eris Havenfire is located just southwest of Stratholme. You must equip The Eye of Divinity in one of your trinket slots before speaking to her, otherwise, she will appear invisible to you. Once you’ve found her, Eris will offer you a quest called The Balance of Light and Shadow. This quest is a scripted event which requires you to save 50 peasants before 15 of them are killed by Undead forces. If you fail the event, Eris will despawn for 2 hours, forcing you and all other priests on your server to wait for her return before another attempt.

Prioritize Mana Regen Gear
The Balance of Light and Shadow event can take well over 5 minutes to complete. This means that resource management is of the utmost importance. Be sure to equip the proper MP5 and spirit-heavy gear to avoid OOMing during the event. Additionally, I strongly recommend using the Second Wind trinket here, as it provides a much-needed mana boost on-demand.

Bring Proper Consumables
The consumables that I recommend for The Balance of Light and Shadow are the following:
20 X Oil of Immolation (use during skeleton waves to AOE them down)
12 X Major Mana Potion
3 X Nightfin Soup
1 X Elixir of the Sages
1 X Brilliant Mana Oil

When you're ready to begin the event, speak to Eris and accept the quest The Balance of Light and Shadow. The event will commence immediately with the first wave of peasants spawning at the mouth of a cave about 60 yards north of Eris. Make sure to have friendly nameplates enabled so you can clearly identify which peasants need healing.
Spell Priority
For your convenience, I've composed a detailed spell-priority list that will help increase your chances of success:
Priority #1: Cast Rank 4 Holy Nova or use an Oil of Immolation if a skeleton wave is up. The oil is more mana efficient, but Holy Nova is more powerful, so use whichever you feel is necessary.
Priority #2: Cast Rank 4 Flash Heal on peasants below 40% health.
Priority #3: Cast Abolish Disease on the peasants afflicted with the PURPLE DEBUFF. This debuff does a ton of damage to peasants so it’s important to clear it off immediately.
Priority #4: Cast Rank 6 Renew on peasants above 50% hp but below 90% Hp.
Priority #5 Cast Abolish Disease on the peasants afflicted with the GREEN DEBUFF, which is less powerful than the purple debuff, but dangerous nonetheless.
Once the peasants pass Eris, a new wave of peasants will spawn at the cave entrance. Make sure that none of the current wave of peasants are in danger of dying before rushing back to meet the next wave.

Don't forget to cycle through your consumables as needed, and use Inner Focus on cooldown before casting Holy Nova or Flash Heal. If you feel like you’re going to fail the event, have your party member intervene in order to trigger The Cleaner and reset the event. It might take you a couple of tries to get used to the mana requirement, but once you get a feel for it, the event isn’t too bad. Once you've succeeded, speak to Eris and receive Splinter of Nordrassil.

Due to the nature of the brutal 15 min respawn timer if you fail The Balance of Light and Shadow, it is suggested to come fully prepared. This encounter requires you to juggle healing peasants, Abolish Disease Icon Abolish Disease to dispel the peasants and to kill the skeletons attempting to attack both you and the peasants. To extend your Mana pool out long enough to succeed you will need to make full use of Mana related buffs including:
