This was the last chart conducted by Major Glenn Miller himself, in December 1944, until he took off for Paris on December 15, but never arrived at his destination. -- This is a fantastic arrangement, performed in a great esprit de corps by the whole unit.

Bobby Nichols can be heard with a vibrant solo, clearly inspired by "Little Jazz" Roy Eldridge, and Peanuts Hucko takes over on clarinet.

Interesting fact: The whole chart is written in the key of A-major, which is quite uncommon for any tune, based on the odd chord structure of "I Got Rhythm" which is usually played in B-flat.

Bobby plays his solo in A-major (B-natural on the trumpet!), and for Peanuts' ride they're switching to B-flat until returning seamlessly back to A major for the final theme.

Absolutely stunning is the performance of the sax section right after the clarinet solo.
