Triumph Thruxton R Review 2019

I’ve been excited about riding the Triumph Thruxton R ever since having a go on the Speed Twin earlier this year. The Thruxton R in my eyes is probably the most beautiful classic looking bikes out today. Whenever I see a Thruxton R or even the Thruxton I can’t help but stare in wonder at its beauty. I really enjoyed my test ride of the Speed Twin and was delighted that the magic of that ride is the same on the Thruxton R.

Excellent torque through the range, Brembo brakes, pinpoint steering and a throttle mapping that is intuitively inline with my senses make the Thruxton R a seriously fun bike to ride. If you want to go fast, you can. If you want to take easy through town, you can. If you want to catch your reflection in a shop window and see yourself better than you ever have before, you can. The Triumph Thruxton R is a bike I seriously love and one day I’m pretty sure I’ll own one of these.

3 Rider Modes – Rain, Road and Sport. For me the Thruxton R really is at it’s best in sport mode. Personally I would leave the Thruxton in sport mode and enjoy this bike on good weather days.
List price of the Thruxton R is £12,400. I test ride the White version here however also like the grey version with the cafe racer style fairing at the front.
