During a hearing on “global threats”, Senator Tom Cotton called a pro-Palestine activist a “Codepink lunatic” for interrupting his speech.

The activist had made the statement during the hearing that “Israel is the greatest threat to global security”.

Another woman, also from Codepink, was then escorted out for defending her organisation after Senator Tom Cotton accused Codepink of being “funded by the Communist Party of China.”

The group has since filed an ethics complaint against the Senator, accusing him of “libel”.
