PNWMA Round 5 - Monkey Wrench 2022

This was more than a race for me, this event is like THE Race for off road racing in B.C. The atmosphere and the events are really lit, families, people of all ages coming together to celebrate this sport. I went there for the race weekend but came away with one of the best riding and people experiences.
There were approximately 350 racers across all classes, I met people from all over BC and Alberta.

Now, race day....beautiful all weekend! We hoped for some rain, and by the middle of the first lap it came; and turned the track into a sweet mess by the second lap. The format for B loop was a 30 km lap x 2 (cut off 2 hrs for first lap) I got out to a good start and kept it on two wheels this race, spent first 10 minutes trying to catch Darcy, who was in first and went on to win (Congrats Darcy!), until I got passed on the connectors while I sipped away at fluids and day dreamed.

Good battles for 5, 6 and 7 place on last lap. Camera dies shortly after second lap, I had to ditch my goggles on second lap too due to conditions. I edited out rain drops best I could along with congo line sections. I finished in 6th place
