Can the G-Grasper unit defeat Godzilla... or will it be Megaguirus?

When a satellite weapon capable of firing miniature-sized black holes accidentally lets a prehistoric insect into the modern age, it's bound to be trouble. The weapon, called the Dimension Tide, unexpectedly allows a species of Meganulon into our modern world. The creature is able to quickly expand its numbers and will ultimately evolve into its final form of Megaguirus, a giant dragonfly capable of ultra-fast speed and sound. While the special branch of the Japan Self Defense Forces (called the G-Grasper unit) attempt to engage Godzilla and use the Dimension Tide to get rid of the monster once and for all, the insects are drawn to Godzilla and look to feed on the monster. After an unsuccessful attempt with the Dimension Tide eliminates most of the insects, Godzilla is free to make its way towards Japan once again. But this time, it will face the menacing Megaguirus!

The second in the Millennium Era of films, Godzilla vs. Megaguirus introduced another new foe to Godzilla and Toho's roster of monsters. Based on the insect monsters from 1956's "Rodan," the Meganulon are not the only classic monsters to be featured in the film. Many are seen in a brief scene including the cult-favorite Gaira from "War of the Gargantuas."
