How to noodle catfish, you ask? The noodler places their hand inside a hole a catfish is residing. As you reach the fish, you place your hand into its mouth and as it chomps down you pull it up to the strong. Now, this is easier said than done as these BIG flathead catfish are commonly big and strong and once they start thrashing around, it can be hard to hold on.

While it is still down around the world, it is illegal in many states due to safety of the noodlers and sustainability of fish populations. The two states that have legalized it are in Texas and West Virginia.
As you seen in the above clip, a lot can go wrong and it you don't have experience and strength it can be quite the challenge.
