I made this comparison to have an idea of what different acoustic guitars sounds like in flatpicking and fingerpicking styles.
The guitars appears in the following order:
- Martin CEO-7 2013 (Adirondack Spruce over Mahogany)
- Eastman E8OM 2021(Sitka Spruce over East Indian Rosewood)
- Martin 000-15M 2014 (All Mahogany)
- Levin 5 Star 1950 (Carpathian Spruce over Mahogany)
- Levin Royal 1948 (Carpathian Spruce over Mahogany)
- Guild D50 1972 (Sitka Spruce over East Indian Rosewood)
- Eastman E2D-CD 2020 (Cedar over Sapele)

All guitars are strung with Phosphor Bronze Lights, except the E2D that uses 80/20 bluegrass Martin custom gauge strings.

The strings are mostly fresh except for the Eastman E2D-CD and the Martin 000-15M that could have been changed to have a little bit more of brightness in the sound.

The pick I used is a heavy gauge 2.0mm Andy James Dunlop signature.

The guitar is recorded using a Lewitt LCT-140 Air microphone without the air switch engaged, plugged into an Audient Sono interface.

The guitars have no EQ applied other than a cut to 80Hz an have a little compression and limiting o increase the overall volume controlling only the peaks, a touch of reverb and nothing more, the sound is intended to be the most faithful possible.
