Burnley come into this game after earning a 1-1 draw away at Anfield. Florian Wirtz put Liverpool ahead before halftime, but Marcus Edwards struck on 65 minutes to rescue a valuable point for the Clarets. While the result looks impressive on paper, the underlying numbers tell a different story — Liverpool created enough chances to score three or more goals and even missed a penalty. Burnley rode their luck, but it’s still a strong point for a side battling relegation. That draw does, however, extend Burnley’s winless run to 13 league games, and home form remains a major concern. That result leaves Tottenham winless in their last four Premier League matches, although away from home they’ve been far more reliable, picking up one win, one draw, and one defeat in their last three road games.

The head-to-head record strongly favours Spurs. The reverse fixture on the opening day of the season ended in a 3-0 Tottenham win, with goals from Brennan Johnson and a Richarlison brace. Spurs dominated that match statistically and have now won four consecutive meetings against Burnley, with Burnley’s last victory coming back in February 2022.
