The Weamer: Is it the best streamer ever?

I know, big claim, little evidence, yet so far this style of fly has been proven to be very effective for me and others who have tried it. I mentioned 14 species in the video that the fly has caught, but I forgot bluefish, so that makes 15. Since it's been 25 years since I tied up the first Weamer, I figured a 25th anniversary video would be nice.

This style of fly can be fished swung or stripped in fast or slow currents, even stillwater, and its construction still produces a seductive motion. The fly rides properly in slow currents compared to traditional streamers that ride very poorly when speeds are slow. It's an easy tie and the use of these short shank hooks really cuts down on the fouling problem.

No matter where I've tried this style of fly, east coast, west coast, Great Lakes, mid-west, the north and elsewhere, this style of fly has caught fish.
