Seeds for Resilience: Nigeria

Описание к видео Seeds for Resilience: Nigeria

The National Centre for Genetic Resources and Biotechnology NACGRAB in Ibadan, Nigeria, is mandated to collect and conserve valuable genetic resources for food and agriculture and ensure their sustainable use.

Under the Seed for Resilience project, NACGRAB works to improve the use and management of germplasm collections through Germplasm Users Groups for sorghum, cowpea, and other crops relevant to climate change resilience.

The user engagement is an innovative concept for driving developmental activities using participatory approaches and is bringing crop diversity from the genebank back to the farmers' fields.
