Masjid Darshan in Bangalore

BANGALORE: Masjid Darshan was conceptualized by few youngsters from various Muslim Organizations in the city to remove misconceptions and promote brotherhood among fellow citizens of Bangalore. People of all faiths were invited to understand Muslims and their Islamic faith at Masjid-e-Bilal situated on Bannergatha Main Road in the city.
Men, women from other faiths resulted in a good footfall as they were guided by volunteers at every step starting from ablution (Wadu), Azan (Prayer Call), Namaz (Prayer), Nikah (Marital bond) and the Janaza (final journey). The event highlights were part of the Masjid tour, exhibition, interactive sessions and a multilingual book stall at the premises of the Majid-e-Bilal guided by both boys and girls as volunteers.
Exhibit area within the mosque compound was a sight to see that was specially erected to provide information. Adults and youths from different faiths showed keen interest in understanding the prayers in congregation
Multilingual literature was made available at the stalls in Tamil, Telgu, Malayalam, and Kannada besides English was part of the event which created curiosity among the visitors who were drawing similarity with their faith and Islam and inquisitive enough to upgrade their interest on Islam.
