Ace Combat 7 Ace Difficulty S Rank Walkthrough (Mission 17 - Homeward)

With the loss of their informant Labarthe and still no contact with mission command, the LRSSG is out of guidance for their next operation. However, one thing is certain: their base needs food and fuel. Thus, the LRSSG has decided to fly over to Tyler Island, a base that should be occupied by Osean forces. This is the new home of the 444th squadron after moving from Zapland.

With lots of spread out targets, multi-target missiles work well for this mission. Hence, the Su-34 gets the call.

In order to S-rank this mission, make sure you destroy everything quickly and not fail the last part of this mission (which can happen if you’re not careful).

The only ace for this mission is in an F-35. He will spawn once you fly up the SSTO like you are being launched (the PULL UP warning must be on the entire time). I did not do this as it is quite risky and you can easily crash. I recommend doing this in a separate playthrough. You will also need to ID the ace, who appears with the bomber escorts.

Good soundtrack for this mission, although the last part can be a little annoying (thanks to those wonderful clouds). Make sure you are on full A/B, no matter what. Slowing down will likely cause a mission failure.
