Royal Albatross ~ Highlights Of TF, TFT & KE23 Flight Practice, Hovering & Jumping! ♥ 9.17.24

There was a lot of flight prep going on with the favorable winds on the headland. First up we see a neighbor chick make his way over on Top Flat - I caught the band and I think it was black E23 or KE23. That would be the Disappearing Gun chick just below the hill. He runs and goes up in an impressive hover and comes back down. TFT goes over and they both look like they were contemplating going up together but KE23 hovered and went just below the hill while TFT went up and then down lol

Then KE23 will walk back in front of the cam on the way back to his nest.

TF did a lot of wing exercises and even did some running and jumping! He comes over towards TFT and continues his flight prep while TFT watched him. Then TF went back to his nest. Last in the afternoon, TF does try to get some life and ends up right below the hill - he didn't get very far - he must be too heavy still ♥ Hopefully we will get a few more days with both boys!
