New to metalworking? START HERE! - How to make a CUSTOM HATCHET

Описание к видео New to metalworking? START HERE! - How to make a CUSTOM HATCHET

I realized recently that a lot of my viewers are very new to blacksmithing and knifemaking like myself but may not have access to all of the tools that I use on a daily basis. In an attempt to help get more people into the hobby of blade smithing I decided to show how to turn an old axe head into a custom hatchet to take with you on hiking trips this spring.
This is a FANTASTIC project for beginners that requires minimal time, financial investment, or prerequisite skill but allows you to practice shaping metal, wood, leather, and sharpening skills.
The tools and materials I used are featured below. Thanks for watching!
