We had the privilege of speaking with Wayne Jenkins, Managing Director of the Hub and a proud veteran who served 25 years in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, completing seven operational tours.

Wayne shared the incredible work the Swansea Veterans Hub does, offering veterans and their families a safe, warm space and support with:

Wayne also opened up about his own struggle with hearing loss and tinnitus, describing it as: "Like being surrounded by a swarm of bees – the noise all blends into one. It really affects you badly."

We also spoke with Jason, a veteran of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers (1987–1999), who shared his journey of dealing with hearing loss after serving, including deployments like Bosnia. Jason took action and successfully claimed £10,700 in compensation after 19 months.
