Swami Yukteshwar asks Yogananda that he should resume his further studies by going to the university as someday he will go to the West, and his university degree will help the people to be more receptive towards him.
And Yogananda who had just reluctantly completed his high school studies at the request of his father… thought that now he can fully devote his time to discipleship and here is his guru wanting Yogananda to continue his further studies and attend the university.
Though Yogananda was not so happy about this, still he agreed to abide by his Guru’s wish on one condition. He told his guru that he will attend the university if and only if his Guru will reveal God to him. And Swami Yukteshwar promised that he will.
Swami Yukteshwar..we know.. had vast powers, he was easily aware of the past, present, and future of any person, still, he never flaunted them, his feet were firmly on the earth, and his head was in the haven of heaven. He was a strict disciplinarian and a self-realized master who was always in communion with God
He was softer than the flower, where kindness was concerned, and stronger than the thunder, where principles were at stake.
