SILRES MSE 100 is a liquid silicone resin that is particularly suitable as a binder for heat-resistant paints and coatings. It dries as a result of a chemical reaction; thus no smoke is emitted during baking. The test shows the performance of a high-temperature paint produced on the basis of SILRES MSE 100 by way of comparison to a sample formulated with conventional binder. In the latter smoke develops after approx. 1 minute. A considerable amount of smoke is generated at temperatures of 290 °C, but only in the sample with conventional binder. The high-temperature paint produced on the basis of SILRES® MSE 100 exhibits smoke-free heat curing.
