2024 NFL PREVIEW: We Pick all Divisions and then give 2 Super Bowl predictions!

Описание к видео 2024 NFL PREVIEW: We Pick all Divisions and then give 2 Super Bowl predictions!

Join us for our preview of the NFL season for 2024!

In this video we look at the 2024 season and make our predictions for each division winner and then the three wild card teams for each conference.

We close the video with two separate Super Bowl predictions: one a safer (boring) pick that is probably what the NFL executives are going to give us.

Then we give a matchup that should be exciting and not the same boring handful of teams that we have had for the past several seasons.

AFC EAST:

The AFC East features three possible playoff teams with the Jets, Bills and Dolphins. We see the Patriots as being a season or more away from true contention, but we are impressed with them on the defensive side of the ball.
We see three teams coming out of the AFC East for the playoffs, but the team we see winning the division is the New York Jets.

AFC NORTH:

For the AFC North, we think it comes down to the Bengals and the Ravens for the division.

We see the Browns and Steelers as playoff contenders but they will need some luck to make the playoffs in the strong AFC.

Many analysts are picking the Bengals for the division as Joe Burrow looks to return from injury. We think Burrow is great, and so are the receivers, but we are worried about the defensive side of the ball. We see the Bengals being in the bottom 5 of pass defense and then compared to the Ravens who were Top 5 in all defensive categories last season

We think the Ravens defend their AFC North title.

AFC SOUTH;

Texans and Jaguars are the headliners, and even though the Texans did not dominate the division last season, their win and their offseason moves provide us with confidence that they can defend their title.

We see the Jaguars and Colts as good-not-great teams that will barely miss the playoffs and we don't know enough about Will Levis to feel that the Titans can do any better than a 3rd or 4th place finish.

AFC WEST:

Chiefs again. Yawn

NFC EAST:

Top-heavy division with the Eagles and Cowboys as playoff contenders and then the G-Men and Red....Commanders rebuilding.

The Eagles and Cowboys are very close but we like the Eagles offseason moves far more than he Cowboys (who did very little)

We predict the Eagles take the division and challenge in the NFC playoffs.

NFC NORTH:

This is the only division in which we see two true Super Bowl challengers in the same division. We would argue that the Lions and Packers were playing better than anyone in the NFC, both just were unable to hang on and beat the NFC Champion 49ers.

We think the Lions moves to shore up their pass defense gives them the slight advantage here, but this is one division pick in which we would not be surprised to be wrong. These two teams are that evenly-matched.

NFC SOUTH:

The Baker Mayfield-led Bucs won the division last season by virtue of tiebreak, but the Saints and Falcons have both improved and made it a legitimate three team race this season.

We like all three of these teams, but fear that the Bucs may have gotten worse on defense as the Saints improved (Chase Young, Kool-Aid McInstry)

The Falcons signing of Kirk Cousins and then draft of Michael Penix Jr. stunned many, but we understand it after the Falcons were left with poor quarterback play ever since Matt Ryan left the team.

This division is somewhat of a free for all, but we like the Saints in a close division race. They lost on a tiebreak last season, and have a better pass defense than the other two contenders. Plus, Derek Carr started to come on in the second half of the season leading the Saints to victories, two of which were over the Bucs (at Tampa) and the Falcons.

NFC WEST:

The 49ers should be back to defend their division crown, but the Rams will be close behind. The 49ers biggest worry other than the Rams would have to be the dreaded "Super Bowl Hangover" which is likely the only thing besides key injuries that could keep the 49ers from repeating as division champions.

Wild Card Teams:

For Wild Cards, we have in the AFC: Miami, Buffalo, and Cincinnati

For the NFC Wild Cards, we have the LA Rams, Dallas, and Green Bay

Super Bowl Predictions:

As we said, we will provide two and our safe, dull, not creative pick is a rematch of the 49ers-Chiefs Super Bowl.

We hate to say it, but this is likely what we are going to get as the NFL seems to prefer marquee teams that appeal to the international market.

That and the fact that the Chiefs might be even better this season than last, with an improved set of Wide Receivers (their lone major flaw in 2023)

For our outside-the-box pick we go with

Detroit Lions vs Houston Texans

Two offensive powerhouses with talented young quarterbacks and respected, energetic head coaches.

This would be two teams in their very first Super Bowl, which could be one of the highest scoring Super Bowls ever.
