Theodor Paleologu, former student of Ecole Normale Supérieure, studied philosophy at the Paris I Sorbonne University and has a PhD in political philosophy at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and the University of Münich.

He was a fellow at Harvard, Notre Dame and Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, taught at Boston College, Deep Springs College, European College of Liberal Arts in Berlin and the University of Copenhagen. He was ambassador of Romania in Denmark and Iceland and Minister of Culture. He is currently president of the Paleologu Foundation.
