One Musical Scene: Flying With Mother - How Music SAVED A Scene

John Powell’s Flying With Mother from How To Train Your Dragon 2 was an incredible last-minute effort that saved the scene from being cut. The scene was going to have music from Jónsi and/or Sigur Rós, but when that wasn’t working Powell was called in to throw together a very fast cue using the orchestra, desk bells, bagpipes, and so much more.
