Army Scout Pilot’s Worst Day in Vietnam & Other Stories

William “Hank” Hankinson served as a pilot in HHT/1/9 and B/1/9, 1st Cavalry Division, flying numerous combat operations in Vietnam between 1969 and 1970. Most notably, Hankinson spent nine months as a scout pilot and survived being shot down five times.
