Round 1 of the Norwegian Cup (Norgesmesterkapet, NM) could be the most charming event in world football. The smaller clubs always get the home turf advantage, and you will often see whole communities creating football fiestas all the way from South to the arctic regions up North.

The Norwegian Cup is an arena where younger players from the bigger teams often get a chance to start, and when facing the smaller teams who often play the biggest match of a lifetime, everything is at stake, making it an interesting scenario for a football agent's point of view. Agent1 went on a road trip just before Easter to capture the beauty of the Norwegian Cup and we hit the jackpot in terms of the matches we saw:

Nordstrand from level 4 held Ull/Kisa from level 3 to a dramatic penalty shootout, with Ull/Kisa's offensive midfielder Markus Flores showing his tremendous potential. We also have interviews with Ole-Kristian Vikan who is the Head of Sports at Ull/Kisa and Coach Kasey Wehrman.

Sarpsborg FK (level 4) hosted Fredrikstad (level 1) in a derby with blue against red, and created a heartwarming atmosphere at Kurland Kunstgress. Our videographer Andres Algeciras tried the peculiar local cuisine hot Dog in waffle, now known as "pøffel", and we got some great fan interviews displaying the intense sporting rivalry between these two cities in Østfold.

The biggest surprise of the whole round was Gamle Oslo knocking out Vålerenga, but we witnessed another giant killing upset at Esso Flint Arena in Tønsberg, where it was Mohamed Moussa Srour's time to shine. We also interviewed an emotional Head Coach Shaun Constable and Assistant Coach Joakim Karlsen after the 3-2 victory against Odd.

Ørn Horten delivered another cup upset against Arendal. We didn't get to go to Lystlunden to watch in person, but as a football agent from Horten we obviously could not leave this out of the video. So we tracked down the cup hero for an interview - debutant goalkeeper Jeremi Maciej Kamecki - and got some great footage to share from @fkornhorten.

The last match we saw was Fram Larvik against Eik Tønsberg where Erik Muhle got his first start of the season. This was not a match for the faint hearted and we got yet another upset in the rain at Fram Stadion.
