So back I go to more classic Sonic music! Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is probably my favorite 2D Sonic game alongside Sonic & Knuckles. Sonic Mania is obviously up there as well but everything about the gameplay and the music is just perfect in my opinion and I have a blast playing it every time. Let's talk about the music right now... IT'S SO GOOD!! It's so funky and catchy with great drum and bass rhythms and I can't get enough of songs like Launch Base zone or Carnival Night Zone and I think it's safe for me to say that Hydrocity Act 1 is my favorite Sonic music of all time! What I really like is how all the songs are composed in a way where there are multiple counter melodies going on without it all going at the same time if that makes sense. It makes the soundtrack very focused and it's not a mash of different layers going over each other which can get messy if done wrong. Hydrocity is an exception for that though because there's so much going on at once in that one and I had a really hard time getting that one right. I'm proud of how it turned out though! Now let me say right now that yes, I am fully aware that Ice Cap Zone is not present in this medley. Before you freak out don't worry because I've already made a 4 min cover of that song which you can find on my channel to satisfy all your Ice Cap Zone needs! Anyway this was so much fun for me to put together and I hope you'll enjoy my Guitar Medley of Sonic The Hedgehog 3!
