A number of devastating issues which caused the death of up to 6,000,000 people in Northern Europe during The Great Famine of 1315-1317 are still with us today, including climate change and food shortages. There are valuable lessons from the Great Famine of 1315-1317 to help modern societies avoid mass starvation and hunger. Today's civilizations must not repeat mistakes from the Great Famine of 1315-1317. Or is famine our destiny?
