It involves surgical re-excision of the area and closing, essentially trying to make that scar look better to hide it.

It takes a year for a scar to mature fully, so patients will not see the outcome for 12 months. Besides surgical scar revision, there are some modalities, topical as well as using lasers, again to kind of soften and to make it less noticeable.
