Over two nights, I explored stunning alpine lakes, towering granite peaks, and serene meadows in the Mite Basin area of Sequoia National Park.

Route Highlights:

1st day: Hiked to Cottonwood Pass and camped there.
2nd day: hiked into Miter Basin and camped at Sky Blue Lake
3rd day: Explored the rugged beauty of Miter Basin
Marveled at Mt. Langley and the surrounding High Sierra vistas
and hiked back to Horseshoe Meadows

This off-the-beaten-path destination offers some of the most remote and pristine landscapes in Sequoia, with fewer crowds and epic scenery. If you love alpine lakes, granite peaks, and true wilderness solitude, this is a must-hike!

High altitude—prepare for acclimatization
