Management and Organizational Theory: Towards a Weakening of Critical Perspective in the Organization Field.

The aim of this talk is to discuss if the current decreasing in the number of publications concerned to Organizational Theory (OT) observed in this bibliometric research, in comparison to the raising number of Management Theory (MT) publications is affecting critical perspective within organization studies. The method used was a bibliometric analysis and a documentary analysis. Findings show two inflections points in 2007 and in 2012 where both set of theories present different tendencies. Management Theory (MT) get recover after 2012, meanwhile, Organizational Theory (OT) decrease the number of academic publications ¿Is this the twilight of organizational theory?
