Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector. This product fits certain years and models of the Chevrolet Captiva Sport and Saturn Vue. To ensure that this is a fit for your vehicle, you can always use the vehicle fit guide at Etrailer.com. This unit's going to provide a four way flat connect at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. It is compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters, adapters are sold separately, and it's going to come with a dust cap for the 4-way flat connector that way you can cover up the connection points whenever your plug's not being used. The black box on the unit is the included taillight convertor. This is going to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailers.

The power module connects directly to the vehicle battery through the wiring to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. It is constructed using surface mount technology for consistent, reliable performance. What that does is it maximizes the trailer light yield and intensity while producing minimal heat and it ensures superior operation even in rough road conditions. Now, the unit is designed to connect quickly and easily. You'll need to locate the connection points in your rear cargo area and plug in your T-connectors. One of them is going to go towards the driver's side, the other goes toward the passenger side.

To locate your connection points, it does come with detailed installation instructions to help locate those connection points and walk you through this entire process step by step. You'll locate your connection points and plug in your T-connectors. These are going to match up perfectly with the ports on the vehicle and they're going to snap lock together for a nice, tight, secure fit. Once you have those connected, you'll need to make a ground connection. That's your white wire with a ring terminal attached to it. You want to get that grounded to a suitable grounding location with the including grounding screw, and then mount your converter box to a clean, out of the way location with the included double-sided, adhesive foam tape. Once you have that done, you'll need to run the hot lead to the vehicle battery.

The hot lead is the short black wire coming out of the converter box. It gets connected to one end of the bundle of wiring with one of the included butt connectors. The other end of the bundle runs to the vehicle battery, gets another butt connector attached to it, and connects to one half of the fuse holder. The other half of the fuse holder gets a ring terminal attached to it and connects to the positive post of the vehicle battery. It does come with your 10 amp fuse, goes directly in here, and it's got the cap that goes over to keep it safe and protected.

Once you have that done, you can secure any excess or slack in your wiring with the included cable ties. Once your install's complete, the 4-way connector's going to be stowed in the out of the way location within your cargo area. You've got plenty of wiring here so that we can pull it out the back of the vehicle when you're ready to use it, roll it up, tuck it away when you don't need to use it. It is recommended that you use a small amount of inaudible 00:02:35 grease on all of your electrical connections like the plugs on the vehicle and the 4-pole connector itself. That grease is going to help prevent corrosion to the connection points. It is sold separately and available at Etrailer.com. When it comes to the maximum amperage for the stop and turn lights, we're looking at three amps per circuit and for the taillights, we're looking at six amps per circuit.
