Inaugural release of Philippine Eagle (Uswag & Carlito) at Marabong Watershed, Brgy. Kagbana, Burauen, Leyte.

DENR Sec. Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga joined with the other representatives from Philippine Eagle Foundation, Burauen LGU, Australian Embassy, InLife Foundation, Energy Development Corporation, & Eastern Visayas State University during the event.

Uswag, a male eagles, was rescued from Mt. Apo, Davao City in 2023 and successfully rehabilitated. Carlito, a female eagle, was also rescued & rehabilitated in 2022 from Trento, Agusan del Sur.
