This is from the small rural town of Virgie, KY. I was visiting my parents home when I tried to leave at 7:30 to go to work and found we were trapped by flood waters from the only two roads in or out of town. You can see the main bridge near the funeral home had been blocked by debris, preventing water from flowing and creating a dam, backing up the river for miles.

Me and my father drove around town before this and did not see anyone in danger or in need if rescue or first aid. As far as I know, no one died or was seriously injured in this region, however at this time at least 15 people are confirmed to have lost their lives on this morning in other parts of Kentucky. I hope this footage will serve as a cautious reminder of how fast and deadly a flash flood can be, and for people living near creeks and in bottoms to please seek shelter when their is a flash flood warning in their area. I am also guilty of underestimating the warning, but fortunately my parents live on higher ground.

I apologize for cutting short in between certain shots, but the wind was causing my battery to reduce faster than normal, and I was getting interference. It was too windy for my drone's RTH to stay active and the rain was starting again so I only had about 15 minutes to take the footage and return.
