Every year, we dump over 8 million tonnes of plastic into our oceans. By 2050, there could be more plastic than fish in the sea.

This World Environment Day, CK Birla Hospital, Jaipur, stood up for the planet in collaboration with Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited and 94.3 MY FM.

We connected with over 300 metro passengers, distributing eco-friendly cloth bags and green plants — inspiring people across Jaipur to ditch plastic and choose sustainability.

Karan Singh Meena, General Manager ( Operations) JMRC Limited, shared:
“On June 5th, World Environment Day, we sent a powerful message to the world about going plastic-free. What began as a small initiative has grown into a meaningful movement — distributing over 500 plants, thanks to the joint efforts of CK Birla Hospital and Jaipur Metro.”

Sachin, General Manager (Sales & Marketing), CK Birla Hospitals, Jaipur, said:
“We regularly organise such initiatives, and our mission is twofold:
We distribute plants so that people can grow greenery in their own homes and communities.
We provide these plants in cotton bags to encourage people to eliminate plastic from their daily lives.

Switching to cloth bags is a small yet powerful step toward a sustainable future.”
We also distributed plants to OPD and IPD patients, reaffirming our commitment — not just to healthcare, but to environmental responsibility. Our doctors and staff promote green, healthy living — because good health and a healthy planet go hand in hand.
