Another spray sealing videos here. I have all three of my current sprays in this video and I get through as many as I can before it got too windy. I use the Triple-Thick spray for scenes that I want a very thick glossy coating. The name of the product is not an exaggeration. If you've used acrylic sealants for a while, really adjust your spraying technique to avoid drips and build up. I didn't do that the first two times (on previous videos) I used it even though I knew it was thicker. I just didn't know how thick. The Workable Fixatif is a spray that I use for all of my matte finish scenes. I suppose you can use it on a glossy scene and make it matte or satin in finish/appearance but I haven't tried that. Then, for the UV-Resistant clear, I use that on most scenes for an extra protective thin glossy coat. I find that all of these types of sprays will bring out the full value and saturations of the media that's been applied, especially, if they've dried to a dull sheen. Note, these sprays aren't reinvigorating actual lost/faded media ink intensities in this case but just bring out what's still there but just under a dull surface sheen that can sometimes develop with certain inks when they dry. There's a few different types of acrylic or art sealant sprays. I just happen to have all Krylon at this time due to availability, price, etc.
Here's what the different types of sprays are for as written on the can labels:
Triple Thick: Decoupage, porcelainizing, collage, wood, metal, plastic, papier mache, glass, plaster, ceramic, dried/silk flowers, paper, wicker, etc.
UV-Resistant Clear Substrate: Photography, painted surfaces, wood, metal papier mache, glass, plaster, ceramic, dried/silk flowers, wicker, etc.
Workable Fixatif: Use for Pencil, charcoal, watercolor, India Ink, crayon. Substrates: Wood, metal, plastic, papier mache, glass, plaster, ceramic, dried/silk flowers, paper, wicker, etc.
