surrounded by bustling farmers and local producers, the midtown association will offer special terra Madre tours and entertaining music at the midtown farmers market the last two weekends in September. Newly expanded, the midtown farmers market is proudly sponsored by sutter health and presented by smud. The open-air market first debuted in 2013 and is available on Saturdays year-round – rain or shine – with spring/summer hours in effect from 8 a.m. To 1 p.m.

In addition, voting continues for the 17th annual America's farmland celebration by American farmland trust for shoppers to choose their favorite farmers market in America. Last year, the midtown farmers market proudly ranked no. 1 In California and no. 3 In the nation. Hungry to retain the top title for the midtown farmers market, the midtown association encourages voting from an engaged community. The deadline to cast votes is by September 30 via this link.

To make the sprawling six-city market as easy as possible to navigate, destinations are identified by themed offerings such as artisan alley, boutique boulevard, market square, merchant market, producers plaza, savory street, the street food Sacramento block, and now the culinary corridor presented by American property management.

In addition to nearly 300 vendors offering a wide range of products each Saturday, the midtown farmers market also offers entertaining activations and entertaining music sponsored by priority parking as outlined below and taking place in market square located at 20th & k streets (unless specified otherwise).

Saturday, September 20
10:30 a.m. To 12:30 p.m. – Entertaining live music performed by award-winning singer coco lamarin market square, and the talented singer alpina basnet performing on street food Sacramento.

Saturday, September 27 – terra Madre tours
9 a.m. To 12 p.m. -- Beginning with a special cooking demonstration by chef Jacoby elsberry of the lock & key tapas + bar in the culinary corridor from 9 to 10 a.m. Presented by Sacramento natural foods co-op., Two guided terra Madre tours of the midtown farmers market (of up to 20 people per group) will explore all six blocks of the market. Guests will enjoy tastings from participating vendors and discover handmade art, crafts, and clothing from many talented makers. The tour concludes at market square at 11 a.m., Where registered guests will be treated to live music in an exclusive seating area. Note: guided tour guests should check-in at 8:30 a.m. At the guest tent in the culinary corridor where they will receive a one-of-a-kind tote bag and a vendor map. A self-guided option is also available; interested guests should check-in at the information tent on 20th & k to pick up a map and tote bag.
10:30 a.m. To 12:30 p.m. – Entertaining live music from the 90s by toast and jam, a northern California band that performs in acoustic format, in market square and the talented Flynn martin performing on street food Sacramento block.

Owned and managed by the midtown association, the midtown farmers market continues to grow and evolve to reflect the thriving and eclectic tastes of the surrounding neighborhood. In addition to title sponsor sutter health and presenting sponsor smud, ongoing support is also provided by community partners that include Heller pacific and fulcrum properties, golden 1, Pappas investments, honey bucket, and paragary restaurant group as well as lime, the market's mobility sponsor.
In addition to offering numerous public transportation options, midtown Sacramento is walkable and bike/scooter/car-share friendly with plenty of parking available in nearby garages plus various lots throughout midtown.
