INGREDIENTS:
For Sugar Syrup:
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Saffron - some
For Sata/Paste:
Ghee - 2 tbsp
All-purpose flour - 2 tbsp
For Dough:
All-purpose flour - 2 cups
Ghee - less than 1/4 cup
Salt - 2 pinch
Water - as required
Ghee / Oil - for frying
RECIPE:
For Sugar Syrup, take a pan, put Sugar & Water in it. Put Lemon Juice, Cardamom & Saffron & make Sugar Syrup of 1 string.
For Paste/Sata, mix Ghee & All Purpose Flour & make a paste.
Take some All-Purpose Flour, put Ghee, a pinch of Salt & mix them. Bind the dough by adding Water & cover it for 20 mins.
Make dough balls & roll them. Apply paste on the Chapati then put another Chapati on it & apply paste on it as well. In the same way join 5 Chapatis together then make a roll. Cut their ends & cut then into pieces. Press the pieces lightly & fry them in the medium heated Oil. Put the fried Khaja in the lukewarm Sugar Syrup. In this way, Tasty & Juicy Khaja will get ready.
