Los Angeles Police Chief Daryl Gates talking to the media on live television on the following morning of the 1992 Los Angeles Riots, in the wake of the Rodney King beating verdicts on the four LAPD cops that were found not guilty.

Sgt. Stacey Koon, and officers Laurence Powell, Timothy Wind & Theodore Briseño were found not guilty of the video taped beating of Rodney King. At 3pm that day on April 29, 1992 the United States experienced one of the most deadliest uprisings of the 20th Century with Los Angeles residents rioted for three days leaving about 60 people dead.
