The Tamiya Desert Gator XB unit in the video is actually not a 100% original 2005 XB:
The original plastic bushings was replaced by generic ball bearings
The original 17T alloy pinion was replaced by a 19T steel pinion
The original Tamiya TEU-01 ESC, TSU-01 Servo and 27 Mhz Receiver was replaced by a TBLE-02S ESC and a Sanwa Servo and a GoolRC 2.4 Ghz Receiver
The original 27T brushed motor was replaced by a 25T brushed Torque Tuned motor
The original rear tires was replaced by the Tamiya Spiked Tires
The original springs was replaced (the original springs actually work a tiny bit better)

The Tamiya DT-02 MS unit in the video is near-stock with almost all original parts:
The original 17T alloy pinion was replaced by a 19T steel pinion
The original wing was replaced with a new Sand Viper wing, with non-original MS decals

The DT02 MS edition comes with no motor, no electronics and no tires so all these items are optional.
The tires on this unit are the original ones taken from the box art and Tamiya's own recommendations (personally, I do not recommend these though).
The electronics are a TBLM-01 sensorless brushless 18T motor, a TBLE-01 sensorless ESC and a Sanwa 2.4G receiver and Sanwa digital servo.
