Since 2014, Mount Auburn Cemetery’s two-year Artist-in-Residence program has hosted a filmmaker, a composer/musician, a playwright/producer, and a visual artist. The work they’ve created and the process of working with them has had a profound impact on visitors and staff alike. Mount Auburn’s Director of Institutional Advancement, Jenny Gilbert, and resident artists Roberto Mighty (2014-2015), Mary Bichner (2016-2017), Patrick Gabridge (2018-2019), and Jesse Aron Green (2020-2021) will discuss their experiences and answer questions about how to start a similar program at your own institution.
