Udhayanidhi Stalin refers to BJP as a "poisonous snake" | Sanatana Dharma | Tamil Nadu DMK MK Stalin

Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has sparked controversy once again by describing the BJP as a ‘venomous snake’ and urging people to exercise caution in dealing with it.
Following criticism from the BJP for his comments regarding Sanatana Dharma, Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has once more sparked controversy by referring to the saffron party as a ‘venomous snake’.
He made these remarks during a family wedding of DMK legislator Sabha Rajendran in Neyveli, Cuddalore district, on Sunday.
Udhayanidhi hit out at on both BJP and its ally AIADMK too,
Udhayanidhi said and i am quoting, likening the party to ""a garbage mound that shelters the snake"". The garbage too should be cleared. ""The snake slithers into our house from the garbage. If we need to eliminate the snake, we must ensure there is no garbage. So, people should be ready to remove the BJP and the AIADMK from Tamil Nadu in 2024. ""We sent the slaves packing in the 2021 assembly election. We should send their masters home in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

During the same event, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, addressing the audience via video conference from Delhi, reaffirmed the DMK's aspiration to secure victory in all 40 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Only then we can play a key role in the new government that would be formed.

On the Sanatana Dharma controversy, Udhayanidhi said he would continue to speak against it in future too. ""There have been voices raised against Sanatana dharma for the past 100 years in Tamil Nadu. We will continue to speak for the next 200 years too.

He continued by stating that his comments on Sanatana Dharma were not new. He pointed out that historical figures such as B R Ambedkar, Periyar (the founder of the DK, E V Ramasamy), and M Karunanidhi (the former DMK patriarch) had previously addressed this issue. He emphasized that it was the vigorous opposition to Sanatana Dharma that allowed women to venture outside their homes and led to the eradication of social ills like 'sati.' In fact, he noted that the DMK itself was established on principles that vehemently opposed such societal wrongs. However, he criticized the BJP for distorting his statements and spreading false information that he had never uttered.

Previously, A Raja drew a comparison between PM Modi and a snake, stating, ""Everyone is prepared to confront the Modi snake, yet nobody possesses the cure for a snakebite. People come armed with sticks, but they are apprehensive of getting bitten by the snake, and there is no known remedy for it.""

A Raja said and I am quoting, ""However, Periyar, Anna, and we alone possess the antidote. North Indians have realised that Dravidam is the antidote capable of neutralising the poisonous snake.
