How to Diagnose and Fix VW T6 Heater Blower Problem: a faulty resistor.

Описание к видео How to Diagnose and Fix VW T6 Heater Blower Problem: a faulty resistor.

In this short video I show you what happens if your heater blower fan stops working in your VW Transporter (T6). Settings 1 to 3 on the button were dead but the fan still blows on the max setting number 4. This is caused by a blown thermal fuse on the blower fan resister pack which is located near the passenger side foot well. Thanks to the team at CVS Canterbury for sourcing a new one quickly! 01:19 Proof it is the resistor

If your resistor fuse keeps blowing then it could be that the fan itself is at fault in which case the fan unit will need to be replaced too. Credit also to the VW T6 Forum: https://www.t6forum.com/threads/heati...

Common sense: In the video I have bridged the fuse to demonstrate that the fuse had blown and was at fault. However you should never use a resister with a shorted/bypassed fuse. Fuses are there for a reason!
