Thank you David G.Anderson

A very sad day for Glengarry as we say goodbye and pay respect to one of its finest. David G. Anderson who passed away suddenly July 7, 2022 and was laid to rest yesterday.

A man who was born in Thunder Bay, grew up in Saskatchewan and eventually made his way to Williamstown via Montreal after falling in love with history and genealogy. He lived in the oldest house in Ontario and was stalwart in the local community, in regards to philanthropy , volunteering and his role in regards to the preservation local history and stories of the past was .

I unfortunately only have very little footage of this passionate historian from Eastern Ontario and have decided to release it as raw as possible so you too could get just hint of the type of man he was, see the glint in his eye when he talked history or how he told a story and more importantly pay respect as much as I can for all the work that this man put into the community and the SD&G region.

As a Memorial to David a tree will be planted in his memory. A tree grows – memories live.

David you were not technically a Glengarrian by blood, but boy oh boy were you definitely #glenggaryproud!

I am truly sorry we did get to you before the pipes called you home.

Rest in Peace sir, it was an honour.
