Torre Piloti − Varo della Copertura

Sabato mattina sono state completate le operazioni di varo della copertura finale della nuova Torre Piloti del Porto di Genova. Un cappello quadrato di 28 metri per lato, dal peso di 150 tonnellate, è stato posizionato a 65 metri di altezza attraverso complesse operazioni di sollevamento dopo essere stata pre-assemblata e trasportata via mare.
La copertura è stata posta al di sopra della cabina di controllo e permetterà di controllare a vista il transito delle navi in porto. Oltre alla copertura, è stata eretta anche un’antenna che toccherà i 95 metri di altezza. Insieme alla Torre, è in costruzione anche la Palazzina Servizi che ospiterà gli uffici e le sale operative del Corpo Piloti.
Progettata da Renzo Piano Building Workshop e BUROMILAN, la Torre Piloti sarà operativa nel 2025 ed è un’icona destinata a diventare un simbolo del porto e della città di Genova.

The launching operations of the final cover of the new Pilots' Tower of the Port of Genoa were completed on Saturday morning. A square hat measuring 28 metres per side, weighing 150 tonnes, was positioned at a height of 65 metres through complex lifting operations after being pre-assembled and transported by sea.
The cover was placed above the control cabin and will allow for the visual control of the transit of ships in the port. In addition to the cover, an antenna that will reach 95 metres in height was also erected. Together with the Tower, the Palazzina Servizi is also under construction, which will house the offices and operations rooms of the Pilots' Corps.
Designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop and BUROMILAN, the Pilots' Tower will be operational in 2025 and is an icon destined to become a symbol of the port and the city of Genoa.
