The Ultimate Zombie Apocalypse Bike - Part 21

Firing up the xs650 Zombie Apocalypse bike engine for the first time with a newly rebuilt head. In this video, I finish adding all the engine components in order to start the bike up. I hook up all the wiring, installed new intake manifolds, installed the carburetors ,bolt on the exhaust, add oil, hook up a battery, check for spark , rig up a temporary fuel supply and start the engine. Engine started up fairly easy with a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust at first. After a while of running the engine, the smoke clears up quite a bit but not completely gone . I think and hope this is just the piston rings seating and should hopefully clear up completely after some running time. I also discovered an oil leak on the clutch crank case cover gasket, which should be easy to fix. I noticed the carburetors are still overflowing gas out the back end of the carb, too. I plan on rebuilding both carburetors when the parts come in the mail. All things considered, I feel like this is a good outcome for this bike and a turning point in the build process, and I can now change direction to work on other aspects of the project.
