Can you beat Rayman 1 if tings deal damage?

I made a mod to the game where tings, the collectibles which gives you a life after collecting 100 of them, now deal damage instead! Is the game still beatable?

Note: Save states were used in some of harder sections to avoid constantly having to reload my save to keep maximum health. This video is meant to explorer how the levels can be beaten with this mod and not necessarily how easy or hard it is to do in one continuous run.

If anyone wants to try this for themselves you can do so by editing the bytes in memory at 801C1518 to "08 00 02 02". This is for the NTSC version.
