Most of Rota’s boats had been destroyed by storms. It was unusual to have the opportunity to view the island from the sea. The sea was also rough and dangerous for a small boat. The Porters were invited to go fishing, but only a couple birds were caught by mistake. The first view just barely shows the departure dock and then the views continue in order halfway around the island. There is farmed flatland with the water cave above someplace. There are caves and fallen rocks--one in the shape of a heart.
