✅ Let your baby feed at least morethan 2–3 minutes on one side before switching. This ensures they receive both types of milk – for hydration, energy, and healthy development.

🔍 During breastfeeding, two types of milk are released:
Foremilk – the initial milk that comes out when your baby starts sucking. It's rich in carbohydrates and helps quench thirst, but it’s low in fat – like sweet water.

Hindmilk – comes after 2–3 minutes of continuous sucking. This milk is rich in fats and provides the essential nutrition and fullness your baby needs to grow and rest well.

If feeding is stopped too soon, your baby may get only foremilk – which doesn't satisfy hunger, leading to frequent feeding demands and poor weight gain.
