With a revamped roster and a line-up of all-new original music, Once Upon a Tree represented a significant milestone in the journey of The Vocal Union. From beautiful ballads like “Fill Me Up” and “East to West” to upbeat foot stompers like “All About My Lord” and “I’ve Got the Spirit,” this project quickly became a fan favorite. It even earned Vocal Union the 2001 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award for Best Religious Album from the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America, selected over other nominated releases from Acappella, InsideOut and Take 6.
