There is a general myth regarding combination of blood group of couple and associated complication. In this video Dr Sheetal Pandey tries to clarify what combination of blood group can pose challenges to pregnancy and how that can be dealt with.

if both the parent are of same blood group, it can never cause any problem to the pregnancy or mother. But if the mother is Rh negative and father is Rh positive then the chances is of having a positive baby growing in the womb. This condition is challenging. and it needs special attention.

So Rh negative mother carrying a Rh positive baby can be a problem.
