Welcome back to the workroom:)

This is Part 3 of my second hand sofa transformation series. I am always on the hunt for second hand, great quality items. Whether it is facebook marketplace, carboot sales or charity shops- I get such a thrill out of finding treasures. In this video, the transformation really starts to take shape as I start the upholstery process. Giving a whole new lease of life to this designer sofa I picked up for just £250- it is originally worth over £5,000- and it is now priceless to me! I show how to make a platform, explain why we use calico under the seat, I talk about the various cuts I make, show how to use cardboard backtack strip and also metal plygrip- which looks scary but you can see it really isn't! In fact, I think it is one of the most satisfying parts of upholstery.. I also have an idea for the legs which I try out in this video. Let me know what you think of it!
